Louis Poulsen has always strived not only to design lighting, but also to shape the light and thus create a pleasant atmosphere - both indoors and outdoors. The shape of the light defines a space and the lighting should blend harmoniously with the space they create; indirect, soft and inviting. They are always looking for the right balance between function and comfort, with which they give everyone the opportunity to create the perfect atmosphere. THROWBACK THURSDAY

The SieMatic SLX has been a resounding international success since its launch in 2019. The concept convinces design juries and architects as well as consumers. One of the reasons for this is the enormous flexibility, which is an important part of the design philosophy and which is particularly popular.
Not long ago, the SLX won the Iconic Award and the Red Dot Award. Now SieMatic has been nominated for a design prize again: the German Design Award 2021! Congratulations!

THIS MONTH ON VITA DI LUSSO

August has started! Let's hope for many more sunny days and less COVID-19 trouble:- )

Although VITA DI LUSSO is on 'slow down speed' because of the holidays, we still offer you some inspiration:
- Next Friday the exhibition 'Caravaggio-Bernini. Barok in Rome' is on my calendar. To be published soon!
- On Sundays you will be enriched with artworks of Dominique Prins, which are true interior gems.
- The office of LEEM WONEN / VITA DI LUSSO is moving to a beautiful monumental building, located in the Dutch royal village of Buren. Of course I'll keep you informed regarding the progress.
- Amongst the Italian interior brands, the need of presenting new collections online is growing. I'll keep an eye on it for you, so you keep an eye on VITA's timeline.
- For Associates Des Arts I'm working on a few very nice things, such as curating new items for the Home Deco Shop. So make sure you are on top of the weekly WANNAHAVE column.
- And on Saturdays I will tell you some stories from the Marcel Wanders book 'Rijks, masters of the Golden Age'.

At the Dutch dune edges of Kennemerland there are still a number of very beautiful estates, built in long gone times. One of these is the completely preserved 18th-century Beeckestijn in Velsen Zuid. A spacious country estate located on the Wijkermeer, once founded as a summer residence of Amsterdam regents who wanted to escape the hustle and bustle of the city.
