TROPICAL EDITION OF THE
ITALY EVENT AT KASTEEL DE HAAR
The sixteenth edition of the Italy Event Taste & Style was probably the hottest edition ever!
With temperatures around 30 degrees I really thought I was in Italy. In any case, it was a serious exercise
for my tour through Tuscany in July! For the ultimate “Italia-esperienza” I brought interior designer
Daniela Cupello with me to the event on the estate of Kasteel De Haar. She grew up in Italy,
is a foodie just like me and therefore very nice company when you want to know everything about
the best from Italy. No fewer than five highlights in this blog!

Verandi shows the ideal outdoor setting
With last year’s long summer still fresh in mind, Verandi flirted with two stylish softubs on this hottest day of the month, one of which was placed under a shaded terrace covering. I fell in love with the Sportster, the smallest model with a diameter of 140 cm, made of artificial leather with a corten steel look. You can decorate these handy bubble baths even further with various accessories, such as pillows, luxurious surrounds and a handy step. I can already see him standing in my garden!

Pizza tradizionale from the wood oven of Bula Outdoor
No pizza is better than a home-made pizza, prepared with fresh ingredients and baked in a real wood oven. Bula Outdoor attracted many visitors to their stand with the Alfa Forni 4 PIZZE Top wood oven. This model accommodates no less than four pizzas, has a fast preparation time and is suitable for both home use and semi-professional use. With the handy Chef Kit you are easily able to provide all your guests with a traditional pizza in no time. So I was thinking… Maybe I can make some room on my terrace 🙂

Regional jewels made by Manifatture Degu
And then I suddenly noticed these delicacies from Manifatture Degu; typical regional jewels from Siena. Coincidentally, during my trip through Tuscany in July, I also planned to visit the city of Siena. In addition to a number of beautiful architectural delights, Siena is also known for its Cantucci, Amaretti (both crispy almond cookies) and the Panforte (hearty bread). The recipes of the tastiest Panfortes come from the original pastry chefs from Siena, who founded a consortium in 1927 to prevent worldwide exploitation and to guarantee the authenticity of the Panfortes.

Relaxing on the beanbags of Bubalou
With those high temperatures and so many high-quality participants, it was just hard work at the Italy Event! Fortunately we were able to take a seat on the inviting beanbags from Bubalou. These “Bub” bean bags are available in various designs, all carry an all-weather outdoor fabric from Sunbrella and can be expanded with an ottoman and a comfy cushion. An additional advantage in the event of an unexpected fast start to the summer: they will have the Bub in your outdoor space within five days after ordering! I believe I also have a place left on my wooden terrace nearby the waterside….

Local wine cocktails from Il Miogusto
If you like wine ánd cocktails like me, what is better than a wine cocktail ?! With its delicious wine cocktails, Il Miogusto brings the famous Italian tradition of the aperitif to the Netherlands. And only the best grapes are used for this. Together with local winemakers from, for example, the Campari region, they develop the most unique tastes and combinations. Take Hugo (Oe-gho), which is made from fresh elderflower with mint, or the Melonsecco with watermelon and the Peachelino with peach. The well-known subtle bubble makes it complete. Salute and arrivederci!
