ENJOY OUTDOOR LIVING TO THE MAX
WITH THE LATEST OUTDOOR LIGHTING COLLECTIONS
The outdoor season seemed to arrive very early this year, with a record heat day already in February!
Now June started by which we are heading hard for the longest day of the year. But despite the fact
that we enjoy outdoor living longer during the summer months, every night darkness falls in,
which throws a spanner in the works and makes us move inside. Unless you use good outdoor lighting.
At the EuroLuce during the Milan Design Week in April this year, we spotted the latest
outdoor lighting collections. Which of these 3 Italian top brands are you going to shine your light on?
The tumult of Artemide
Artemide has been a pioneer in lighting design for 60 years, and still continues with exploring the boundaries of lighting with sustainable innovation, knowledge and an ethical perspective. At the EuroLuce they presented a spectacular lighting station, designed by Michele De Lucchi, where emotion, perception, technology and interaction were central. In addition, we saw two new fixtures, inspired by and made with respect for nature.
The versatility of LucePlan
Research, innovate and design with a high degree of functionality and efficiency. These are the values that have been guaranteed in the identity of LucePlan since it was founded in 1978. The many awards that they have received over time, from Italy and beyond, also confirm the quality of this design brand.
During our visit to the stand, we were given a personal tour to meet with all the striking new models. We selected Amidaba and Fienile, mostly for their versatility; they can be used outside and inside.
The unequivocality of Flos
Still heavily impressed by the indoor presentation of Flos, our high expectations regarding the outdoor lighting were realized a little later. In a beautifully landscaped garden, with pavilions from various top designers such as Antonio Citterio and Patricia Urquiola, all new Flos luminaires were stylishly exhibited. Although all different, they ensure a certain level of unequivocality without fuss which makes them very suitable for mixing and matching.
So, do you choose the tumult of Artemide, the versatility of LucePlan or the unequivocality of Flos? Check out your favorite outdoor lighting in the Flinders Design shop. We wish you a wonderful, long summer!
