MUSEUM STYLE DUTCH DESIGN
The Dutch Design label Van Rossum manufactures design tables, cabinets and chairs
in solid oak wood in a largely still traditional way. This collection consists of several
standard models, characterized by a certain degree of variety, discrete luxury and
intimate charm, on the basis of which individual customization is possible.
That gives a worthy extra dimension to the already unique character of this label!
Van Rossum works with French oak, which is processed in an environmentally friendly manner and with great care and attention. First of all, the wood is carefully selected at the French National Forestry Services, after which it is dried for at least a year before being processed in its own sawmill in the mountainous landscape of the French Vosges. Once at the own factory, the wood is dried again in special climate chambers. So before you have purchased a piece of furniture, it was preceded by a very precarious process.
Another equally important feature of this brand is the design. Not only for their own creations, but also for those of international designers with whom they work. They use very clean lines as a counterpart to the warm oak wood. As a result, the appearance of the collection stands the test of time, just like the material does. Moreover, it is presented in an almost museum-like manner. No unnecessary distractions through decoration, giving the furniture the attention they deserve as solitary art pieces.
You will find Van Rossum furniture in the Dutch Design House, as well as in the Avant Garde Department in the Co van der Horst showroom in Amstelveen, where advisers can inform and help you with your personal interior needs.
